There is a cognitive dissonance between the stern climate crises warnings, and the laws of the land. We are told by IPCC and the UN that climate change poses an existential threat to humanity. That greenhouse gas emissions must be drastically reduced within this decade in order to avoid a catastrophic and irreversible climate catastrophe. Yet, polluting the air with CO2 and other greenhouse gasses is free of charge. No punishment or environmental taxation is imposed!
