2022 marked a significant milestone for IEN Consultants as we have concluded a total 5 Malaysia government hospitals that we have been directly involved with LEED v4 Operational + Maintenace (existing building) Certification in the span of 2 years :

IEN Consultants' efforts in greening Malaysia's government healthcare facilities started in 2018 when we are first approached by the Ministry of Health to share with the government officials what is LEED and how can LEED be the green building tool in helping achieve the government roadmap of getting all Malaysia government hospital to be green building certified by 2025. Some of the milestones of the timeline are as below:
Sept 2018 - IEN conducted multiple training to government officials and the hospital's facility management team
Jun 2019 - IEN conducted LEED v4 O+M Gap Analysis study for 28 hospitals in Malaysia
May 2020 - IEN assisted Hospital Sultanah Maliha, Langkawi in being the first hospital in the world to achieve LEED v4 O+M Gold certification
Oct 2020 - Hospital Sultanah Maliha, Langkawi and MOH efforts recognized in IGEM 2020 opening speech by the Prime Minister of Malaysia
May 2021 - Hospital Jasin becomes the world's first healthcare facility to achieve LEED v4 O+M PLATINUM certification
June 2021 - MOH was awarded USGBC's Leadership Award (Link)
August 2021 - Hospital Putrajaya was awarded LEED v4 O+M PLATINUM certification
September 2022 - Hospital Bintulu became the first healthcare facility in East Malaysia to achieve LEED v4 O+M Gold certification
September 2022 - Hospital Bintulu became the first healthcare facility in Sabah to achieve LEED v4 O+M Gold certification
Although we are just at the beginning of the journey of getting all government healthcare facilities to be green-certified, IEN Consultants were delighted to be partnering with MOH and various FM companies in making all these achievements possible.
