Policy Implementation of Low Emission Pathway for Malaysia

Updated: Nov 14

IEN took part in launch of the low-carbon emissions policy recommendations, a 146-page report entitled "Towards a Low Carbon Emissions Pathway". During the 2-day launch sessions, we conducted roundtable discussions with key ministries and regulators. Links to the presented material include:

The report is the result of 14 roundtable sessions in 2021 that covered 4 industry sectors and involved over 40 senior leaders from the private sector who volunteered to organise this and attracted over 4,100 participants. The industry sectors covered were the Energy and Transport Sector, Property and Construction Sector, Plantations Sector and Telecommunications Sector.

Gregers, who represented IEN Consultants as well as the Green Building Committee of EUROCHAM Malaysia, was one of the senior leaders who volunteered and took part in the Property and Construction sector roundtable discussion on day 2 on 22 April 2022.

This big low-carbon policy process has been lead by Climate Governance Malaysia (CGM), the CEO Action Network (CAN) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
