It is not always easy being a sustainability engineer, so made a tool that makes calculating the mean radiant temperature (MRT) easy so we can focus on the real design problems instead.
Calculating the mean radiant temperature (MRT) is often pretty complex and requires technical knowledge, extra tools and time even though the concept itself is very simple. We therefore developed a easy-to-use tool for engineers, architects, students, and hobbyists alike. The tool allows you to calculate the MRT for any location within a room, in either a sitting or standing position, with or without windows.
We also added functionality for radiant asymmetry calculation, an often overlooked aspect of thermal comfort, which can have a drastic impact on the thermal comfort of a space.
