Depending on the design pattern, the energy efficiency of the printed photovoltaic panels will be 10-15%. The more dark colours in the design, the higher the energy efficiency.
We are just about to finish the first building project in South-East Asia using printed PV,
namely for a big facade wall, 9 x 6 meters, showing the UniKL university logo and slogan. See inserted image of how the printed university logo will look like.
Interestingly, most people will not even realise that it is a solar panel, but will think it is just a big signboard on the building facade.
This amazing design flexibility for solar panels is a game changer. Certainly, the excuse that solar panels are ugly is no longer valid!
