Ir. Khim Bok Tan (MIEM, P.Eng, GBIF)
Graduating with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Malaya in 2001, and having worked at Arup from 2001 to 2011, Khim Bok has experience in the design of building services for various types of buildings. The projects that he has been involved include offices, commercial complexes, schools and apartment buildings. He also acts as a coordinator on most projects and is responsible for liaison work with client, other members of the consultant team, local authorities as well as the main and sub-contractors involved in the project.

His design skills include air-conditioning and ventilation services, lighting systems, building management system / energy management system, vertical transportation, cold and hot water plumbing, waste discharge and sanitary services and fire protection services. He also has experience in the preparation of tender and contract documents, tender evaluations and reviews.

Since joining IEN Consultants in 2011, Khim Bok has been focusing on optimization of MEP Systems in buildings (ACMV, Lighting, Power) to improve energy efficiency.

Khim Bok has experience in energy simulations using the IES VE (Virtual Environment) Software, heat load analysis using the CARRIER E-20 II Heat Analysis Program as well as lighting simulation using the DIALux software.

Khim Bok is also a qualified professional engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and the Institution of Engineers Malaysia, is a qualified GBI (Green Building Index Malaysia) Facilitator, and a professional member of the MGBC (Malaysia Green Building Confederation).
